Blogs and Social Media

I have been blogging about grading for nearly 7 years. Some posts were written before I adopted standards-based grading practices, but most are about my efforts to implement best practices in my classroom. You can use the grading tag on my blog to see the most recent two years' worth of posts. Here is a selection of my all-time most popular posts:

Since I began blogging, many other teachers have also shared their experiences on their own blogs. A list of blogs is below. Or, you may want to visit the Standards-based Grading Galas: collections of posts related to grading practices. Here are some of the blogs that participate:

There is also a community of teachers discussing standards-based grading practices on Twitter. (You can follow me here.) Use the #sbg or #sbar tags to find educators to follow, or subscribe to a list like this one. You do not have to have a Twitter account to see or subscribe to these feeds.
